Nazar Prayers has no account, no ads and no tracking. The people you add, their photos and your reading progress stay on your phone. The only personal data that leaves your device is what is needed to process a purchase, and what any app sends when it streams audio.

Who we are

The Nazar Prayers app (called Nazar Duaları in Turkish) and the website nazarapp.co are provided by UK AGITECH LTD, a company registered in England and Wales ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the processing described here. Contact us at support@nazarapp.co.

Data that stays on your device

Everything you enter in the app is stored only in the app's storage on your phone or tablet. We never receive it. This includes:

  • the names, relationships, bead colours and photos of the people you add,
  • your reading progress, streaks and badges,
  • your reminder times, language, theme and audio settings.

Photos are chosen with your phone's photo picker; the app copies only the photo you pick. Reminders are scheduled on the device and are not sent through our servers. If your phone backs up apps to iCloud or Google, this data can be part of that backup under Apple's or Google's terms. Deleting the app deletes the data.

Purchases

Premium is bought through the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google take the payment; we never see your card or bank details.

We use RevenueCat, Inc. (United States) to check purchases and unlock Premium. When the app talks to RevenueCat it sends:

  • a random user ID created by the app (it is not your name, email or Apple/Google account),
  • your purchase and subscription history for this app, as reported by the store,
  • basic technical data: device model, operating system and app version, store country, and your IP address.

We use this to give you Premium, restore it on a new device, handle trials and renewals, and help you when you contact us. The legal basis is the performance of our contract with you. RevenueCat's privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy.

Streaming audio

Some audio, such as Qur'an recitations and their verse timings, is streamed from mp3quran.net. Like any server you connect to, it receives your IP address and the file requested. We do not send it anything else.

Sharing

When you share a prayer as an image or video, the app creates it on your phone and hands it to your phone's share menu. We do not receive what you share or who you share it with.

What we do not do

  • We do not show ads or include advertising or analytics tracking code in the app.
  • We do not track you across other apps or websites.
  • We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not build profiles about you.

When you email us

If you write to us, we use your email address and message to answer you. We keep the conversation for as long as it is needed to help you and then delete it. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering you.

This website

nazarapp.co does not use cookies and does not load fonts or scripts from other companies. Our hosting provider processes your IP address and basic request data to deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse.

We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It does not use cookies or local storage, does not collect personal data such as your IP address for analytics, and does not track you across sites. We see only totals such as page views, countries and referring sites.

Children

The app is made for a general audience, including families. It does not ask anyone, child or adult, for personal details, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

International transfers

RevenueCat processes purchase data in the United States. Transfers are covered by safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR or Turkey's KVKK), you can ask us for access to your data, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable form. Because app data stays on your device, you can delete it yourself by deleting the app. To delete your purchase records held by RevenueCat, email us the User ID shown at the bottom of the app's Settings.

You can also complain to a data protection authority: in the UK the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), in the EU your local authority, and in Turkey the Personal Data Protection Authority (kvkk.gov.tr).

Changes

If we change how the app uses data, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
